The comenius club met after school during the summer term to find out more about their regional history.

The children read from the school log book and were fascinated to learn about children being punished for laziness and lateness!

Mrs Rita Lowes visited the club to talk about Lees Hill School when she taught here around 50 years ago. She was also keen to share photographic slides with us.

Carys shared a letter about the life of a land girl during the 1940s. The letter and photographs documented life in and around nearby Askerton Castle where Ursula Adler stayed.

The junior class studied the local geography and history in Brampton . They learned about the early railway and land use in the area.

Our Christmas play was especially written for us by Mr Steven to link with our Roman studies. The play told how Christianity came to our area through the eyes of the Governor of Banna Camp (Birdoswald) 3 miles from Lees Hill school. The children auditioned for parts, learned songs, made their costumes and stage set.
